The leadership of the Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria (ASCSN) has restated its commitment to uplifting the welfare of Federal Government workers.

Towards this end, it announced that it was taking necessary steps to reposition the Union to continue to pursue welfare issues that will uplift the living standards of its members throughout the country.

The assurance was contained in a goodwill message signed by the President and Secretary-General of the Union, Comrades Shehu Mohammed and Joshua Apebo, respectively, to mark this year’s edition of the International Workers’ Day.

It listed the welfare matters to include, but not limited to; payment of salaries; promotion and elongation of arrears, 1st 28 days in lieu of hotel accommodation; restoration of gratuity to Public Service employees; creation of vacancies to stem cases of stagnation of officers, especially in the Directorate level, among others.

It urged the Union’s teeming members to renew their faith and commitment to the National leadership of the Union led by Comrade Shehu Mohammed.
