How Land Republic’s Founders partners Funmike Empowerment Foundation to shape future of Nigerian Youth

In a small room in Ibadan, a student once uncertain about their future now pores over anatomy textbooks, driven by a dream once out of reach. Across town, another prepares architectural sketches, knowing their ideas could one day shape skylines. These are just two of ten powerful stories made possible by a partnership rooted in purpose, vision, and impact.

At the heart of this transformation are two visionary leaders Victor Adesewa Adegbile and Ayodeji Ajuwon, Co-Founders of Land Republic who believe that real estate is not just about building properties, but about building lives.

In a time where access to quality education remains a hurdle for many young Nigerians, Victor and Ayodeji made a bold move. Through a strategic partnership with the Funmike Empowerment Foundation, a nonprofit committed to education, health, hunger alleviation, and clean water access, they funded the full academic journey of 10 outstanding students. The selected scholars, studying Medicine, Engineering, and Architecture, will now have their tuition covered from their first year to graduation.

“At Land Republic, we see education as the foundation for building both cities and futures,” said Victor Adesewa Adegbile, Co-Founder and CEO. “This initiative is about more than tuition—it’s about planting seeds of hope and watching them grow into national assets.”

His Co-Founder, Ayodeji Ajuwon, shared the same heartbeat:
“Our mission has always gone beyond real estate. We believe in building people. Partnering with the Funmike Empowerment Foundation gives us the opportunity to do just that in a way that truly transforms lives.”

For Oluwafunmike Esther Salami, the Founder and Executive Director of the Funmike Empowerment Foundation, this collaboration was a match made in purpose. Her foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in both the U.S. and Nigeria, works toward achieving several UN Sustainable Development Goals, especially SDG 4: Quality Education. Her bold target? Sponsoring 1,000 students by 2030.

“These 10 scholars are not just recipients of generosity,” Funmike said. “They are future leaders, innovators, and changemakers. What Land Republic has done is more than kind it is nation-building.”

But this sponsorship goes far beyond financial aid. Each student is expected to give back through mentorship, volunteerism, and community engagement creating a ripple effect that reaches far beyond the classroom.

Together, Land Republic and the Funmike Empowerment Foundation have shown what happens when business meets purpose. In a country filled with talent, ambition, and untapped potential, their partnership is helping to light the path forward.

And for those 10 students? The future is no longer something they only imagine. It’s something they’re preparing to build with their hands, their hearts, and their education fully backed by people who believe in them.
