Governor Mutfwang confirms Gyang Bere as DOPA

Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang has approved the appointment of Mr. Gyang Bere as the Director of Press and Public Affairs (DOPA).

Gyang Bere until his recent elevation to the rank of DOPA, was a special assistant to Governor Mutfwang on media.

A statement signed by the secretary to the Government of the state, SGS, Arch. Samuel Jatau in Jos Plateau state capital Thursday, said the appointment is with immediate effect.

Recall Gyang Bere was a correspondent of The Sun Newspapers and chairman of Correspondents’ Chapel, Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Plateau State Council.

According to the statement, “The Executive Governor of Plateau State, His Excellency Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang has approved the appointment of Gyang Musa Bere as the Director of Press and Public Affairs (DOPA).

“Until his appointment, Bere was the Special Assistant (Media) to the Executive Governor and Chairman, Correspondents’ Chapel, Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Plateau State Council.

“The appointment is with immediate effect, please.”
