Abuja is set to witness a new era in transportation and travel management as GIG Mobility (GIGM) launches hireX, a premium vehicle hire and charter marketplace, alongside PASS by GIGM, an all-in-one travel and tours platform, on Tuesday, November 4, 2026.
GIG Mobility, regarded as West Africa’s largest intercity road transport company, operates more than 40 terminals across Nigeria and Ghana, providing technology-driven transport solutions that simplify and improve travel for millions of passengers annually.
The company said the introduction of the two services is aimed at making journeys safer, easier and more connected through its intercity bus operations, the hireX vehicle marketplace and the PASS travel platform.
According to the company, hireX will provide chauffeur-driven vehicles available for hourly or daily bookings, featuring transparent pricing and professionally screened drivers. The service will cater for executive transportation, airport transfers, interstate journeys, group trips and event logistics.
Speaking during the unveiling of the initiative in Abuja on Sunday, the Chief Executive Officer of GIG Mobility, Dr. Enahoro Okhae, disclosed that the company’s fleet in the capital will comprise both GIGM-owned vehicles and cars supplied by verified partner operators.

He explained that PASS by GIGM will allow users to book intercity bus tickets, flights, hotel accommodation, airport pickups as well as carefully selected local and international tour packages from a single platform, eliminating the need to use multiple travel providers.
Explaining why Abuja was selected for the launch, Dr. Okhae said the city thrives on strict schedules involving government activities, business meetings, embassies and air travel, making dependable transport services essential for residents and visitors.
He added that after earning the confidence of Nigerians in intercity transport for nearly three decades, the company is extending that same level of reliability to every aspect of travel within the nation’s capital.
Also speaking, the Chief Operating Officer of GIG Mobility, Jude Odum, revealed that the company has already begun collaborating with organisations in Abuja ahead of the official rollout.
He said corporate organisations, embassies and non-governmental organisations seeking a single provider for executive transportation, staff mobility and travel management are encouraged to engage the company before the launch, noting that early partners will help shape service delivery in the city.
Odum further announced that from November 4, customers will be able to book hireX through the hireX portal and the GIGM mobile application, while PASS services will be accessible via the GIGM app and the company’s official website.
