Ebonyi Labour Party guber candidate  to deploy satellite imagery  to tackle communal crises if  elected

The Governorship Candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in Ebonyi State Arc Edward Nkwegu, has reiterated that he would deploy the use of Satellite imagery  to tackle the menace of inter and intra -communal crisis ravaging most communities in the State.

 

Arc Nkwegu made the assertion on Sunday in his country home Okpoduma Izzi Local Government Area of the State while fielding questions with newsmen.

 

He said that his administration if elected in 2023 general election would acquire Satellite Imagery of the entire landscape in the State.

 

“‘Such Satellite Imagery would provide the recipee to know the Land Space available for agriculture, or building among others.

 

He said that the State was engulfed in communal crisis as a result of lapses in certain things not done well.

 

According to him, “we devoted our energies looking for result, rather than focusing on the causes”

 

“Inter-communal boundary crisis has to do with the National Boundary Commission (NBC),

 

Arc Nkwegu maintained that his administration would create 13,000 Medium and Small Scale Enterprises (SMEs) in two years that will generate massive employment for the teeming youths.

 

On the issue of perceived harrassment and intimidation of members of the opposition political parties by the ruling government, Arc Nkwegu described it as a sign of ignorance or lack of confidence by the perpetrators.

 

” Those who cause violence is a sign someone has inherent problems, level of development is dependent on tolerance.

 

Speaking against the backdrop of the Educational policies of his administration,  Arc Nkwegu reiterated that his administration if elected would pursue unhindered access to education.

 

“My administration will provide unhindered access to education, embark on Curriculum reformation”

 

ⁿMy Agenda for the State is anchored on rapid industrialization and  employment creation,

 

*My Administration will focus on meeting with the Physiological needs of the people”

 

Arc Nkwegu said that he would pursue the policy of mechanized agriculture and have a strong Land Tenure System

 

On his expectations for  next year 2023, Arc Nkwegu expressed the hope that the general elections would be conducted in the most peaceful and credible atmosphere.,

 

” Labour Party (LP) expectations is that Political Parties should tow the line of peace”

 

The Governorship Candidate used the occasion of the yuletide to felicitate with  citizens of the State and called for genuine reconciliation of families and neighbours in the spirit of the yuletide.

 

” The yuletide is a season of reconcilliation/forgiveness,  it is a period for genuine love and peaceful co-existence”
