Xenophobia: FG to evacuate 83 more Nigerians from South Africa
The Federal Government has disclosed its plan to evacuate another 83 Nigerians from South Africa amid growing concerns over Afrophobic attacks. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs disclosed this in a statement issued by its spokesperson, Kimiebi Ebienfa. According to Ebienfa, Nigerians in South Africa are scheduled to arrive at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, on Wednesday, August 19, 2026. They are expected to depart the Oliver Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg at 3.35 pm local time aboard South African Airways and land in Lagos at about 8.45 pm.
