The Nigerian Gas Association, NGA, has announced a three-day certified training programme to equip industry players with deep insights into Nigeria’s evolving gas sector amid reforms from the Petroleum Industry Act, PIA, and the global energy transition.
The course, titled “Legal and Regulatory Frameworks in the Nigerian Natural Gas Industry Value Chain”, will run from 24 – 26 August 2026.
According to NGA Learning Solutions, the programme is designed “to provide a comprehensive insight into the Nigerian gas sector, and enable participants to develop greater understanding, interest and appreciation of the Nigerian Gas Industry Value Chain.”
Training Focus: PIA Era and Energy TransitionThe Association said recent implementation of the PIA, coupled with global shifts toward cleaner energy, is set to transform the legal and regulatory landscape of the Nigerian gas industry.“Transformations to the legal and regulatory landscape in the Nigerian Gas Industry is expected to reveal and create value and opportunity in equal measure for operators, practitioners and investors,” NGA stated
.The training will give delegates the opportunity to examine the legal and regulatory aspects of the entire natural gas value chain in Nigeria.Course DetailsThe three-day event will feature up to eighteen in-depth modules delivered by industry subject matter experts. Sessions will run daily from 0900 – 1600 hrs and will include attendee interaction and question & answer segments
.For participants unable to join live, NGA said the event will be recorded for later viewing at their convenience.Fees and RegistrationCourse fee is ₦200,000 per attendee for NGA Associate Members and ₦250,000 per attendee for Non-NGA Members.
The NGA said the programme is open to operators, regulators, legal practitioners, investors, consultants and other stakeholders seeking to understand opportunities and compliance requirements in the post-PIA gas market.
