Abuja: Female Chairmanship aspirant dares 22 male contenders for AMAC seat

Cyril Mbah, Abuja.

The lone female chairmanship aspirant vieing for election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in the Abuja Municipal Area Council, (AMAC), Hon. Jennifer Ozioma Nnamudi, has challenged the twenty-two male contenders in the race to prepare grounds for uncompromising battle, for promising to floor them during the primaries to become the flagbearer of the party in the February 2026 FCT council elections.

Hon. Jennifer, who picked the Expression of Interest and Nomination forms on Monday at the All Progressives Congress National Headquarters in Abuja, told newsmen that the test of the popularity of political aspirants include the ability to enter a contest without resort or use of dubious means such as rigging or engaging in other election malpractices.

The business woman, who turned politician told newsmen after picking her forms that she will beat the twelve male aspirants from the council who have so far picked forms because of her remarkable popularity and knowledge of grassroots politics.

While repeating the popular female slogan “what a man can do, a woman can do even better,” the chairmanship aspirant stated that she decided to join the race to answer a clarion call from the people of AMAC for good governance citing the performance of Mrs. Esther Anazodo, the first female chairperson of the council as example of what a woman can do.

On what she hopes to do differently as chairman, Hon. Nnamudi stated that the empowerment of young people and families, especially providing hospitals for pregnant women would be paramount and the people  would enjoy the fair attention of her administration while education and infrastructure would also receive consideration.

“Women are good managers and when you give a woman a house, she turns it into a good home. I am going to continue where Anazodo stopped but I will perform even better because I have studied the situation on ground and I know what the people want me to do for them. So, I am here to make a good home of AMAC.

“All the men in this race, (there are twelve of them in AMAC). I happen to be the only woman and God has designed it that they will face a tough battle. As the only woman in the race, by the grace of God, the men will have to line up behind me because, I am the best among the aspirants,” she declared.
