Amotekun swings to action to ensure speedy release of kidnapped Ondo APC ward chairman

The Ondo State Commander of the State Security Network Agency, Amotekun, Akogun Adetunji  Adeleye has said that his officers have begun a man-hunt to fish out the abductors  of APC ward Chairman in Ose local government,Nelson Adepoyigi.

 

He said efforts were on to ensure his freedom from captivity.

Mr Adepoyigi was reportedly abducted when he was parking his car around 10pm on Monday in his house.

 

Sources said the assailants stormed the compound and pounced on Adepoyigi, beating him with sticks before whisking him away.

 

His wife, who heard his cries for help, rushed out only to discovered that he had already been taken away.

 

Also, the state Police spokesman, Mr Olayinka Ayanlade said efforts were on to rescue him.

 

Ayanlade said the APC chairman in ward 5 was kidnapped at the entrance of his farm along Ifon-Owo road, stressing that the DPO Ifon in collaboration with the hunters , local VGN and Nigeria Army personnel’s have also launched a manhunt for the suspect (s).

 

The Ondo State Police Command urged anyone with useful information that could aid in the rescue operation to come forward.
