The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, (APC), Professor Nentawe Yilwatda Goshwe, has declared that President Bola Tinubu has earned the confidence of Nigerians through courageous leadership and commitment to national development.
Speaking at the flag-off of the APC presidential campaign in Kaduna State, Yilwatda welcomed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima to the North-West, describing the occasion as a defining moment in the party’s drive to consolidate achievements and secure renewed mandate in 2027.
He said the enthusiasm at the rally reflected growing public confidence in the President’s leadership, particularly among women and youths who believe in the administration’s vision for a stronger and more prosperous nation.
“Mr President, the people have spoken, and their voice is loud and clear. Nigerians are happy. Our women are happy, our youths are happy, and the people are encouraged by your leadership,” Yilwatda said, describing Tinubu as a courageous leader who takes difficult but necessary decisions.
The APC chairman said the party is proud to present the most competent and credible candidate, adding that the party is united and confident, with recent realignments involving Accord, PDP and APGA showing growing conversation around Tinubu’s leadership.
He noted the campaign will be anchored on the administration’s record, ongoing reforms and compelling vision for the future, urging Nigerians to assess government not only by challenges but by courage to address longstanding structural problems.
According to him, the Tinubu administration has shown political will to confront economic realities, strengthen infrastructure and reposition the country for sustainable growth, expressing confidence the benefits of reforms will become more evident.
Yilwatda maintained that Tinubu’s first term has laid foundation for a more prosperous, secure and inclusive Nigeria, stressing the need to consolidate gains and ensure Renewed Hope Agenda translates into opportunities and improved livelihoods.
In a highlight of the event, he presented APC flags to seven North-West governors seeking re-election: the governors were Uba Sani (Kaduna), Abba Kabir Yusuf (Kano), Dikko Umaru Radda (Katsina), Umar Namadi (Jigawa), Nasir Idris (Kebbi), Ahmad Aliyu (Sokoto) and Dauda Lawal (Zamfara).
He said North-West remains strategically important to APC’s electoral prospects and called on party members and supporters across the seven states to work collectively with unity and discipline to mobilise for Tinubu and all APC candidates.
Yilwatda commended Kaduna State Government under Governor Uba Sani and campaign organisers for successful flag-off, describing Kaduna as strategic for opening, and reaffirmed APC will approach 2027 with confidence and strong structure.
