Uche Ogah Joins 2023 Abia Governorship Race, Vows To Restore The glory of Aba As The Pride of Igbo Race.

The Minister of State Mines and steel development Dr Uche Ogah,  has declared  his intentions to contest for the 2023 gubernatorial  election in Abia state under the platform of All Progressive Congress( APC),vowed to restore the glory of Aba as the pride of Igbo race.

Dr  Ogah who made the declaration  at the APC state Secretariat, Azikwe road in Umuahia the state capital,said he is optimistic and confident that by the grace of God and the will of the people of Abia state ,he will be given the opportunity to serve as the governor of Abia come 2023.

He noted  that the sense of duty that form his decision to offer himself once again to contest to serve is because of his love for Abia state and commitment to the vision of transforming of Abia  .

” My vision to take Abia state as it is to as it ought to be.

” The job of transforming Community and people is at the root of my calling in life ”

Dr Ogah insisted  that he was in the race to offer a visionary and purposeful leadership for the state.

He said  that he is focused on the transformation of the economy of the state with creation job for Abia people through private sector driven initiatives.

He said “Nigeria is blessed with many natural resources that if we harness them less emphasis will be placed in the oil sector and our country will not play a second fiddle in the world.

“I will bring my experience in the private and public sector to bring valuable changes in lives of Abia people.

“My adminstration will be anochered on faith in God and social transformation in governance which will transform  the economic, agricultural, educational, security and health sector of the state.

“I want to reinvent the dreams of our founding fathers of Abia where the rule of law shall thrive and we will reintroduce the agricultural revolution of the former Eastner region that made the economy of that region one of the fastest growing economy in world.

He further said he built Master energy group to be a major oil company competing with multinational company , while promising to see  Abia state with well organized environment  with street lights and Umuahia  infrastructure the  best as a capital.

He said,” I dream of Abia state where the glory of Aba will be restored,a city of accessable roads, the market shall be large and its products shall dominate Nigeria economy”

He promised to be a Governor that history will remember for the restoration of the glory of Aba,create jobs for the youths and health care shall be qualitative and affordable.

Earlier in the event,the Director General of Abia Rejoice the pro group in charge of Dr Uche Ogah’s Governorship race, Hon. Solomon Okogbuo  expressed happiness to the party members for turning out en masse,added that come 2023 Dr Ogah would be sworn in as the governor of Abia state.

He described Dr Ogah as a man that love his people and who knows the cry of the poor, said Abians are waiting for him to be their governor.

The climax of the event was the presentation of cheque of fifty million Naira donated by Abia Rejoice groups to enable him pick the APC Governorship nomination and expression forms.
