Traders petition MTN over poor network service at Onitsha Bridge-Head market

Giant network provider, MTN, pledged to look into the request of traders at Onitsha Bridge-Head Market, Anambra State, after it was discovered that poor service was hindering the pace of businesses in the gateway market.

 

The pledge was based on the petition to MTN, by the chairman of the market, Hon. Chinedu Ezekwike, as hundreds of millions of naira have reportedly been lost due to poor network service involving traders and their customers.

 

Recalling  losses incurred due to fluctuating network service in the market, the chaurman told newmen Monday, that traders and customers in the market complained bitterly about loss of business opportunities due to poor services by network providers.

 

He, however, singled out one of the leading service providers, MTN, which is commonly used by traders and artisans in the area.

 

Hon.Chinedu, revealed that based on the petition to MTN, the firm had pledged to look into their demand and improve services for effective communication by subscribers.

 

While urging traders to give the new market leaders their maximum support and cooperation, the market boss assured that interest of traders in the area remains paramount to the new administration, stressing that government interests would also be protected .

 

He pleaded with traders to always pay their taxes and other approved revenue into government coffers, adding that it  is a form of source of funding for government development plans to the state.

 

The market leader further commended the market Board of Trustee members, (BOT), the State Governor, Prof.Chukwuma Soludo and the State Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Hon..Obinna Ngonadi, for their foresight in restoring normalcy to Anambra markets.
