The Elevation Church, host Pastors and Ministers at the 7th Exponential Conference 2023

The 2023 Exponential Conference, organised by The Exponential Network, an initiative of The Elevation Church, was recently held at the Pistis Conference Centre in Lekki, Lagos from February 6th to 8th. Themed “Resurgence: The Emerging Church,” the conference aimed to equip church leaders and ministers to thrive in their ministries in today’s world and beyond.

The conference was headlined by several prominent pastors and speakers, including Pastors Godman and Bolarinwa Akinlabi (hosts), Rev. Sam Adeyemi, Pastor Mathew Ashimolowo, Dr. Conway Edwards (USA), Pastor Jerry Eze, Pastor Yemi Davids, Debola Deji-Kurunmi, Leke Alder, Dr. Sam Chand (USA), Pastor Muriithi Wanjau (Kenya), and Praise Fowowe.

Over 1,000 church leaders and ministers from different Christian denominations across Nigeria, Kenya, Liberia, and Togo participated in person, while others joined in other 18 broadcast centers across the nation. Also in attendance were online delegates from across Africa, Europe, and the United States. The conference provided a platform for discussions on spiritual growth and networking opportunities for faith-based leaders.

The three-day conference included both plenary and break-out sessions that covered a range of contemporary church topics, such as “Leadership Essentials for the 21st Century,” “Making Your Online Church a Real Church,” “Disciplining Business Leaders for Kingdom Expression,” “Hacking the Day-to-Day Running of Your Church Operations,” “Harnessing Technology for Greater Ministry Impact,” “Leading Through Crisis,” and many more.

According to Godman Akinlabi, Convener of The Exponential Conference, “Ministers today cannot rely on outdated methods to teach the gospel. They must adapt their messages to address the unique challenges and circumstances of our time. The gospel remains unchanged, but its delivery must be relevant to the current generation and speak to current events and context. The times are rapidly changing, and ministers must be equipped to effectively communicate the timeless message of the gospel in a way that resonates with their audience.”

The Worship Leaders Conference 2023 was held alongside the Exponential Conference 2023. It showcased prominent worship leaders TY Bello, Eezee Tee, Tolucci, and Akinyemi Ayinoluwa, who offered practical guidance to aspiring gospel musicians on how to maintain a harmonious balance between their spiritual and professional pursuits.

The 2024 edition is scheduled for February 26–28, 2024.
