Samuel Nwanosike lambasted for calling Hon. Rotimi Amaechi a “Mugu”, unreserved apology is needed-Jerry Wanodi says

Recently, a politician in Rivers state called the Transport Minister Rotimi Chibuike Amechi a “mugu” a local parlance for stupid and foolish man. This has gotten widespread condemnations from all quarter. Reasonable people of state has decried the use of harsh ward by Samuel Nwanosike a local government chairman of Ikwerre local government to describe the Honourable minister in such a term. The political climate in the state is charged.

 

Rising up to the occasion to call a spade a spade, Jerry Wanodi,A titled state man of “Ishimini 1 Of Ozuaha Kingdom” and the President of Porsche Oil Group of Companies and grassroots philanthropist and humanitarian in service said “this is wrong and politics shouldn’t be a bitter thing. We should be careful how we address ourselves. I totally condemn such a statement coming from Nwanosike and all reasonable people of Rivers State should as a matter of fact.”

 

“Amaechi has attend a noble height, from being a governor to a senior minister and apart from that, Amaechi isn’t your age mate. The different between you and him is like night and day. I wonder why you should come to social media and catch “cruise” with the name of the honorable Minister. This is wrong, ” he added.

 

Amaechi and Wike are friends and have been together from 1990s irrespective of the political leanings. You are just a local government chairman and it is wrong that to use such a word. We the Ikwerre people demand that Nwanosike apologize to the generality of the Ikwerre People and Rivers state, “he concluded.

 

Amaechi has a presidential ambition same with Wike and both being from Rivers State has seen many of their followers pitch tent against each other. Reasonable Indigenes of the state have called for calm and encourage parties to eschew politics of bitterness and embrace each other irrespective of the political camp one find themselves.
