Presidency: Uzodinma, Buni, Senators return presidential forms for Lawan

Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo state and governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe state, were among Senators who returned the presidential nomination forms for the President of the Senate, Ahmed Lawan, Fiday.
The President of the Senate is among 28 other presidential aspirants jostling the ticket of APC.
The aspirants include; Sen. Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Prof. Yemi Osibanjo, Rotimi Amaechi, Sen. Godswill Akpabio, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu, Sen. Chris Ngige, Sen. Rochas Okorocha, Sen. Ibikunle Amosu, Pastor Tunde Bakare, Com. Adams Oshiomole, Prof. Ben Ayade, Governor Dave Umahi, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, Emeka Nwajiuba, Sen. Ken Nnamani, Governor Yahaya Bello, Gov. Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, Godwin Emefiele, Gov. Ahmed Yerima.
Others are Chief Ajayi Borriface, Mrs Uju Ohnenye, Pastor Nicholas Felix Nwagbo, Dimeji Bankole, Akinwumi Adesina, Chief Timipre Sylva, Goodluck Jonathan and Chief Ikeobasi Mokelu.
Speaking to newsmen shortly after returning the forms on behalf of the Senate President, Governor Hope Uzodinma, who led the delegation said he led the delegation in the spirit of esprit de corps.
Uzodinma said: “Like you know most of us here are from the national assembly, some serving some are non serving. Particularly like me I left the senate on sabbatical to go and contest election in Imo state and I’m on borrowed status in Imo state as the governor.
“Today we are here in solidarity to accompany our leader the Senate President to submit his duly completed form and we have submitted the form.”
When asked what made him think the Senate President is the best for the job, the governor said: “In the police it is called esprit de corps.”
