Police parade 35 suspects for alleged involvement in various offences ,

No fewer than 35 suspects were on Tuesday paraded by Ebonyi State Police Command for their alleged involvement in various offences ranging from Conspiracy, cultism,  unlawful possession of fire arms and armed robbery,

 

The State Commissioner of Police Aliyu Garba, made the disclosure at the Command Headquarters abakaliki, while parading the suspects before newsmen.

 

CP Garba said that Operatives of the Command arrested two suspects namely Ivi Chukwuma Chinecherem (20 years) and Ogbonna Justice (19years) for allegedly abducting and trafficking under-aged girls to Ghana.

 

,”The trafficked girls included Ugochi Ohaukwu ‘f’ (17 years), Ogechi Ejiuwaka  ‘f’ (17 years), Ejiuwaka Ogbonnaya ‘f’ (18years) and Medina John ‘f’ (15years)”

 

The Ebonyi State Police boss said that the Command on August 27th 2021, intercepted and recovered about 150 vandalised pipes from three arrested suspects namely Solomon Nworie ‘m’, Onyebuchi Eke ‘m’ and Onyebuchi Meshark ‘m'”

 

,”The relentless efforts of the Command to safeguard the State against proliferation of prohibited firearms yielded positive results as the Police intercepted three men on a motorcycle namely Obaji Benjamin ‘m” (35 years), Nwankwo Friday ‘m’ (37 years!  and Eze Desmond ‘m’ (35 years) for unlawful possession of Firearms”

 

According to the CP, items recovered from the suspects included General Purpose Machine Guns (GPMG), G3 Rifle , Locally Made Berretta Pistol, Five AK 47 Live Ammunition,

 

CP Garba urged residents of the State not to hesitate at any time to call on Po!ice for any illegal action of breach of security.

 

“I wish to encourage residents of the State to remain vigilant, law  abiding , and not hesitate to call on the Police if any illegal act/suspicious movement is noticed in any part of the State “-

 

“I call on the general public whose motorcycles were stolen to come to the Police Command Headquarters abakaliki with proof of ownership for possible collection”
