As part of its commitment to ensure customers’ safety, Access Bank Plc has debunked the claim that its accounts are susceptible to SIM card fraud.

The Bank said, “We have received information about a suspected cybercriminal alleging that Access Bank accounts are susceptible to SIM card fraud.

“We categorically refute these bogus claims and assure our customers and the general public that we have always deployed best-in-class technology and security infrastructure across our platforms to ensure the safety and security of all our customers’ personal information such as Personal Identification Number (PIN), Card Verification Value (CVV), Bank Verification Number (BVN), On-Time Pin (OTP) and card number on their phone or with anyone.

“To further ensure our customers’ safety, they can also dial *901*911 on any phone if they lose their SIM cards or phones,” Access Bank said.

However, the Bank said “customers should not hesitate to call us immediately if you get a suspicious email, SMS or phone call. Our customers account safety continues to remain a top priority for us.
