The Olive Mountain of Prayer and Praise Ministry, Ijegun Lagos, has held a get-together with members of the church and donated 30 bags of rice and other food items to the widows and less privileged as part of Christmas celebrations.

The General Overseer of the Church, Prophet Collins Timothy, who presented the item to the beneficiaries, said he started this programme 13 years ago in his church, adding that: “When l was living with my parents in the village years ago, l used to help many widows; my mother encouraged me to take up the Foundation”.

“I have been on this programme alone until four years ago Mr. and Mrs. Obinna Ezue joined me including my wife, Pastor Mrs. Rosemary Timothy.

“Every time  Christmas is approaching, we give them rice, groundnut oil; tomatoes; meat; yam; pepper; Maggi etc with some cash items for their Christmas.  We give two people one bag of rice; we share 30 bags of rice. The programme was held on 18th December 18, 2022 at the church premises Ijegun Lagos”, Prophet Collins stated.

The programme featured praises to God and testimonies from the beneficiaries, among whom is Onyinye Nwachukwiu, a member of the church, who said: “Since l came to this Church  l have  seen that the man of God is different from the other one l know; he  is a really man of God.

“God is using him to help the people of this dispensation, he is a really man of God he will give you Messages without collecting money, he will care for the widows, their Children and  the needy and the less privileges  weather you are from the church or not  God is using him.

“Many Christmas like this he used to take care of the widows; during the time of festival, he always likes to see people happy around him. Even my own self and family l know how things are for us. But today, he has paid our house rent and made us happy. Prophet Collins Timothy loves people more than himself. He has passion for his people. God will continue to bless him in thy name of Jesus”, Mrs. Nwachukwu prayed.

Another beneficiary, Grace Onyewuchi, stated: “l am a widow of five children. l want to thank God for what God has been using the man of God to do in my life-paying my children’s school fees; and give us foodstuff. l thank God for using him in the community. May God bless him.

“He gives people job; he provides job for the youths in the church; he is an entrepreneur. He is also a spiritual mentor of each and every one of us in the church. I want to thank God for using him, and l also want to thank God for our mummy (Prophet Collins Timothy’s wife), if not for her, all these things would have not come through. We give Glory to God for protecting them and for giving her the strength to push trough. He accommodates people a lot; the children he has outside are more than the ones he has in his house.

“I want to thank God for using him in my own life. He has been a father; l want to thank God he also takes care of old age parents; giving them medication once a month. We want to thank God for using him. May our Good Lord promote him in Jesus name, Amen”

In his remarks, Prophet Timothy, a man known for his extreme kindness and love for humanity,  said this year edition brought a lot of light and hope to many across the state for the Olive Mountain Prayer and Praise Ministry.

He expressed his gratitude to God for giving him the opportunity to give back to the society, through the Foundation, adding that celebrations and welfare activities go hand to hand, welcoming other  people for partnership, which could be done through UBA account: Olive Mountain of Prayer and Praise Ministry, 1012456052.

Prophet Timothy Collins added: “Taking care of widows, needy and less privileged has been one of my callings, apart from healings, deliverance and prophesy.  Right from birth, it has been in my blood, because I really suffered while I was growing up”.
