Olatunde-Agbeja emerges Aiba’s Chairman as Ekeoma Ezeibe becomes new SCRIB

A chieftain of the insurance fraternity in Nigeria Chief Babajide Olatunde-Agbeja has been elected Chairman of the African Insurance Brokers Association (AIBA). Chief Olatunde-Agbeja is a former president of the Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers, the umbrella body of licensed insurance brokers in Nigeria which membership is well over 400 corporate bodies.

The election of Chief Babajide Olatunde Agbeja which was held at the just concluded African Insurance Organisation Conference (AIO) in Kenya is perceived to have helped in raising the profile of the Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers.

In a swift reaction, the President of the NCRIB, Mr Rotimi Edu has felicitated the new officers expressing delight that the new officers would take the body to greater heights, based on their robust antecedents.

Other Nigerians elected into the AIBA  executives alongside Chief Olatunde-Agbeja to steer the ship of the continental body for the next one year are Mrs. Ekeoma Ezeibe  as  Secretary, Mr. Yombo Bammeke as Treasurer and Mr. Shola Tinubu who was elected as Ex officio. Mr. Shaibu Ali from was elected  Vice Chairman, Mr. Nelson Omolo from as Ex Officio while Mr. Jean Baptiste Ntukamazina who is the AIO’s Executive Secretary join  as Ex Officio

Industry operators have noted that the election of the new officers would give a great impetus to the body in accomplishing its mandate of broadening the practice of insurance broking in Africa.
