..commends FG for infrastructural development

The Provost of the newly established Federal College of Education (Technical ) Isu Ebonyi State, Professor Okey Reuben Okechukwu, has restated that the College was set to commence the admission of pioneer students for the 2022/23 academic session by October this year.
Professor Okechukwu made the assertion in abakaliki the state capital on Wednesday, while briefing newsmen on modalities put in place to ensure smooth take-off of the 2022/23 academic session.
The academic don stated that the College was ready to admit the pioneer set of students in Octber 2022, in line with JAMB Policies.
“The 2022/2023 Admission Portal of the College is now open for the general public, the admission is for all interested applicants within and outside Nigeria”
The College helsman maintained that the school mandate was among other things to train professional and efficient National Certificate of Education (NCE) graduates that will work in the basic education sub-sector.
He said that the institution started administratively in 2021, with the appointment of principal officers who in collaboration with Ebonyi State/Onicha Council and Isu community, acquired and set up both the permanent and tempory sites of the College.
“We are in National Budget, we have Capital Appropriation which is meant to upgrade and develop further infrastructure in the College'”
Professor Okechukwu disclosed that the College has entered National Budget and Tetfund Intervention Platforms for steady finding source.
” We have a number of intervention projects going on in the temporary and permanent sites, some of which have been completed”
He called on prospective students and admission seekers to apply for admission into the College for the 2022/23 academic year.
“The College has four approved Schools for its take-off and offer Courses in 18 Departments”
“The Schools include ” School of Education /General Studies, School of Secondary Education Sciences, School of Secondary Education (Vocational), School of Secondary Education (Technical) respectively.
“We expect to lead other Colleges in terms of excellence in academics, administration and infrastructure

It should be noted that the Federal College of Education (Technical ) Isu, was one of the six newly established Colleges of Education by the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari in 2021.
