Iliyas Bello, an indigene  of Borno state  taking refuge in Kano, who trekked from Kano city  to Maiduguri to show love and solidarity to Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno state has fulfilled his dream of meeting the governor.

The 39- year-old, Bello who was personally received by Prof Zulum at the Government House, Maiduguri Friday evening said “It took me 13 days when I began my journey from Fotoro, Kano city, through, Wudil, Jamare, Azare Potiskum, Damaturu Jakana to Maiduguri and I changed 10 pairs of shoes for me to arrived Maiduguri to see you”

” I  defied all risks and odds to  come and show solidarity to you for your purposeful leadership, resilience, commitment to the flight of your citizens and for relocating our people back to Mallam Fatori and other communities in the state”, he added.

He said “I met many people including thugs and other hoodlums but just because you are a good man when they saw your picture they received me and even gave me gifts. I was even arrested by the military on my way and after interrogations, when they see me with your picture, Nigerian flag and voter card they released me. I can sacrifice my life for you to live”.

He also brought some gifts of tea condiments and an eye glass to the governor.

Responding, Governor Zulum thanked him for the love and show of  solidarity and promised to continue to serve the people of Borno and humanity.

He asked the young man about some prominent people in Fagoti and asked the chairman of Abadam Local  Area, to give good accommodation and feeding to Iliyas Bello until he meets him.
