BLESSING AKOROWOSI, Osogbo
Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has commissioned a multipurpose hospital with 80 bed spaces in Ipetumodu, Ife North Local Government Area of the State.
The Governor lauded the Federal Government for supporting the project through the office of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
He described the project as a great contribution to the provision of health care services to the people of the state, maintaining that it is in line with his administration’s goal to bring quality and affordable healthcare services to the doorsteps of the people in the state.
Governor Adeleke thanked the outgoing President, Muhammadu Buhari for his love towards Osun State and for making the project a reality.
The Governor, who was represented by his deputy, Prince Kola Adewusi, noted that recently, a medical surgery mission was embarked on across the nine federal constituencies of the state in commemoration of his 100 days in office.
Speaking on the welfare of health workers in the state, the Governor said his administration prioritized their welfare as the approval of hazard allowances among others had been effected for resident doctors of UniOsun Teaching Hospital, which averted strike in the state.
Earlier in his goodwill message, the facilitator of the project, who doubles as the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, thanked all the contributors to the success of the project, especially the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals, Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, for counting Ipetumodu worthy of being included among the beneficiaries.
He enjoined the State Governor and cabinet members to continue their good works and maintain the smooth running of the facility.
