God says ” give your tithes to widows and less privileged”-Amb Ononye

The issue of tithes has always been a contending issue in Christendom especially the Pentecostal set. This situation has been centered around to pay or not to pay. While many see pastors that collect the tithes as extortionist and impostors who claim Levites where they are not.

Having said this, Amb Ephraim Ononye makes it very clearly that you don’t only pay your tithes to the store house of God but also send it to the less privileged, widows, etc to attract more of God’s blessings. It’s part of the principle of love which was what the bible stood for.

While some Pastor will tell you that if you don’t pay your tithe to them and you choose to give it to the needy that you will be poor. The Lord commanded us to pay our tithes to the needy so that they might find something to eat according to (Deuteronomy 26:12). The Bible also commanded us to bring our tithes to the store house of God (Malachi 3:10). It is clearly stated that tithes is meant to be kept in the store house of God rather not meant for pastors to consume. Then the reserved from the tithes should be given to the less privileged, needy, widows, etc.

Amb Ephraim is trying to correct the mentality of some pastors who deceives their members to only pay their tithes to them while they are wrong. He strongly believes as God says ” Give your tithes to widows and less privileged” (Deuteronomy 26:12).

The Bible enjoined us to be charitable to the less privileged. That is one of the cores of judgement and what our deeded would be looked at. We would not be asked how many tithes we paid but how many good deeds we did.
