FRSC in Abia decorates 43 officers including 6 Deputy corps commander,15 Marshals

A total number of 43 officers, including 6 deputy corps commander and 15 Marshals  of the Federal Road Safety Corps were decorated in Umuahia the State capital on Tuesday,14 February,2023 at FRSC State  headquarters,with a charge to exhibit discipline, loyalty,eschew misconduct as well as reciprocate the good gesture done by management by ensuring that they are dedicated to their duties.

 

The Sector commander FRSC Abia State,Corps commander Paul I Ugwu who made this known to Newsmen during the decoration ceremony,said the officers were recently promoted to their various ranks by the present Corps Marshal Dauda Ali Biu  who pays so much attention and emphasis on staff welfare,added that the promotions cut across the state.

 

He advised those that were not beneficiaries of the present promotion not to be downcast because their own time is coming at the appropriate time, when they will also be celebrated .

 

Speaking further, he said the recent promotion is unique because a lot of people are promoted among the officers cadre,added that when staff are promoted it gives them the courage to do more work.

 

 

He also noted that “with the number of officers  promoted, the motorists should expect more professionalism in doing our job, discipline in course of doing our job , commitment to duty to ensure that the vision of creating a safe motoring environment is achieved”

 

He appreciated the media for partnering with the FRSC in creating a safe motoring environment and appealed to Abians, especially those using Ubakala junction area to avoid running against traffic rules and regulations to reduce traffic crashes in the State
