Federal lawmaker builds block of classrooms, donates textbooks, chairs, others.

The member, House of Representatives representing Kaga, Magumeri Gubio Federal constituency, Hon. Usman Zannah has constructed two blocks of classrooms, furnished with desks and chairs as well as provision of textbooks and other instructional facilities.
Governor Babagana Zulum while commissioning the blocks of classrooms, chairs, desks at the Central Primary School, Magumeri, the headquarters of Magumeri local government area on Friday commended the lawmaker for intervention in the education sector stressing that education is the bedrock of any development.
The Governor also used the opportunity to urge the people of Magumeri community to come out en-masse to register and collect their Permanent Voters Card (PVCs), as the card is the only weapon to use to vote candidates of their choice.
He said he will personally find time to visit and spend the night in Magumeri to commission projects and distribute foods and non-food items to the people of the area.
Speaking earlier, Hon Usman Zannah said the items and the blocks of the classrooms were constructed through the 2021 federal budget as part of his constituency projects.
He said since his assumption of office he had secured many jobs to the members of his constituency, paid JAMB fees for remedial students as well as offered scholarship to students of tertiary institutions.
While thanking the governor for the visit, Hon Zannah commended the Governor for finding time to come and commission his project despite his tight schedules, mentorship, courage and support.
Also in his welcome address, the Chairman Magumeri local government area, Dr Ali Yaumi said within the 18 months of his administration he was able to drill boreholes, embark on construction and rehabilitation of healthcare facilities, provision of vehicles to the Civilian JTF, hunters and vigilantes among others.
