Ebonyi guber: PDP candidate, Odii, pledges to harness 42 solid minerals

The Governorship Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Ebonyi State Dr. Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii, has pledged to harness the 42 Solid Mineral Deposits of the state if elected.

 

Dr. Odii made the assertion in abakaliki the State capital on Tuesday while receiving an “Award of Excellence in Leadership” conferred on him in recognition of his Humanitarian Services by Emmanuel Church Azuiyiokwu Abakaliki.

 

The PDP Governorship Candidate commended the Church for the honour done to him, assuring that he would not disappoint the people if elected.

 

He said that the State was endowed with 42 Mineral Deposits if properly exploited/harnessed would boost the economic potential of the State.

 

“I will turn the 42 Mineral Deposits identified in the State into profitable ventures,”

 

“If you must harness Solid Minerals in the State, you must be able to build a refinery in the state”

 

On the forthcoming 2023 general election, Dr. Odii emphasized that the PDP will win all elective positions despite the intimidation and harassment meted out to party members.

 

“I am a humanitarian, if I become the governor our children will have access to free education, this is the right time we come together to say no to any form of oppression”

 

“My scholarship programme so far surpasses any other person, I have constructed 140 houses for indigent/downtrodden members of the society”

 

Dr. Odii enjoined the people to check the pedigree of every governorship candidate aspiring to occupy the number 1 position in the State.

 

“Check the pedigree of Candidates for the governorship seat, do not vote for candidates with questionable character”

 

The occasion was the climax of the 25th Anniversary Celebration/Dedication of the Church and was officiated by the Bishop of the Diocese of Abakaliki (Anglican Communion), Bishop Monday Nkwoagu.

 

Earlier in a homily, the Bishop of Abakaliki Diocese Rt Rev Monday C. Nkwoagu, said that many Christians forget the Grace of God in them.

“We are created to be Holy, Love, and be the Light of the world, we must avoid being selfish,

 

In attendance at the event included the PDP  National Vice Chairman South/East Chief Ali Odefa, PDP Deputy Governorship Candidate Chief Paulinus Igwenwagu, Coordinator General Anyichuks Support Organization Dr. Emma Kanoundu, Former National Secretary of PDP Chief Onwe Solomon Onwe, Ex-Commissioner for Information Ebonyi State Chief Abia Onyike, and the PDP House of Representative Candidate for Ezza North/Ishielu Constituency Chief Obinna Nwachukwu among others.

 

Others include the Pioneer Bishop of Diocese of Abakaliki (Anglican Communion) Rt Rev B. C.B Onyeibor, wife of incumbent Bishop Lady Nwanyieze Nkwoagu, Ven Dr. Steve Okongboeso, and Ven & Mrs. E.E. Oselebe among others.
