Deborah Samuel: Chairman, Tekan/ECWA Block condemns killings

Chairman Tekan-ECWA Church Bloc Taraba State chapter, Reverend Philip Micah Doppah, has expressed sadness over the ambush of Commanding officer ninety three battalion Takum convoy by gunmen.

A statement by the Chairman said the killing of the military Officers along Tati-Takum in an ambush is condemnable.

The statement also condemns the bomb blast at the sixth Battalion of Nigerian Army, NA base in Jalingo.

It describes the act as unfortunate development thwarting the peace initiative of Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku in Taraba state.

It further expressed concern about the ongoing crisis in Ussa, Takum and Yangtu Special Development, calling for it stoppage.

The statement equally strongly condemned the gruesome killing of Christian female, Deborah Emmanuel of Shehu Shagari College of Education, Sokoto

It lamented that the ugly incidents, calling for prompt action in the interest of humanity.

It urged the two major religions, Christianity and Islam followers to adhere to the tenets of the religions which preach peace in the interest of progress.

The statement urged Tarabans to pray fervently for God’s intervention on the surging insecurity experienced in the state.
