Bauchi says no case of Coronavirus – Govt

The Bauchi State  government  has said there was no case  of Coronavirus in the state.

This was disclosed by state  Commissioner of Health, Dr Aliyu Maigoro while addressing pressmen in Goverment House on the issue  of Coronavirus saying that the  state governor is in self isolation and  the result of the test will be released within 24 hours.
According  to him, members of the family of the governor alongside with his officials who were on his entourage for his recent visit to Lagos State are also in self isolation.
Dr Maigoro added that  all the officials  that travelled with the government will remain in self isolation to avoid  spreading the virus.
He then appealed to the citizens of the state to ensure regular hand washing as preventive ways of infectious disease.
Speaking on the outbreak of Lassa fever in the state, the Health Commissioner  said the state government is working round the clock to overcome the situation saying  that so far only 2 Local Government Areas reportedly confirmed the Lassa fever cases.
