APC thugs disrupt voting process, destroy ballot boxes in Oshodi, Ajao Estate, Ejigbo, other places in Lagos.

Armed political thugs have disrupted the peaceful process of the Governorship and  house of assembly election in various part of Lagos

Our correspondent, who monitored the election gathered that some parts of Oshodi, Ajao Estate, Ago palace way,  Ejigbo, Amuwo Odofin many other places  were marred with violence and the destruction of ballot boxes.

For example At polling unit 029, Alhaji Azeez Street ,Besam Mafoluku-Oshodi , in Isolo,  Ansarudeen Ward, Polling unit 012 Alh. Ashiriabo Street Isolo,polling  004 Holy Saviors, Isolo, Polling unit 015 Baale Street, Ishagatedo Isolo ,  polling unit 069 ,Amuwo Odofin and  polling unit 006 at Okada park in Ajao Estate , pooling unit at Emma street, Canal Estate, Okota were all attacked by thugs scaring voters .

Ballot boxes and papers were destroyed, others carried away while the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC officials scampered for safety.

One of the voters, identified as Mr Alex narrated their ordeal. He explained that the voting process was initially peaceful until some political thugs invaded the scene  around 2.04pm and carried the ballot box at Alhaji Azeez , mafoluku

Earlier he said “The APC thugs threatened us while the election was going on peacefully . They came on motorcycles and ask all voting for Labour Party should to leave the polling unit.

However, after a while, security operatives came  to the scene but the did has been done.

Many voters are calling on INEC to conduct fresh election in those polling units and called on Security agencies to secure the polling booths .
