Anambra CP sues for peace, as political campaigns kick off

The Commissioner o Police in Anambra State, CP Tony Olofu has called on sued for peace and tolerance among political parties in Anambra State .

Addressing political party representatives during an interraction session held at the state Police Command in Awka on Monday, the CP said the measure is to sustain the existing public order and public safety in the state.

He said, “I am assuring the good people of Anambra State that the Police is committed to working with other patriotic stakeholders toward ensuring public order in the State before, during and after the political rallies.”

Olofu promised to always be on ground to coordinate the security deployment and ensure the rallies are hitch free.

He called on members of the general public to coordinate themselves and cooperate with the security agents in the course of discharging their constitutional duty.
