The Edo State government has said that the training for the newly recruited forest guards would commence on Friday, 5th June 2026.
This was contained in a statement signed and made available to journalists by the Commissioner for Public Safety and Security, Festus Ebea, in Benin.
According to him, “The Edo State Government hereby announces that the training for newly recruited Forest Guards will commence on Friday, June 5, 2026 for 6 weeks.
“All candidates who have successfully been profiled by the Department of State Services (DSS) and completed medical screening at Edo Specialist Hospital are by this statement required to report to the Police Training School, Ogida Barracks, Benin City on or before 5:00 pm. on the stated date.
“Candidates are advised to come prepared with all required documentation and in compliance with the training facility’s protocols. Other training facilities will be supplied to them thereafter.
Candidates are advised to liaise with the commissioner for further inquiry.
