The family of Anyanwu Dibia of Umueke Umuaghara Uvuru in Aboh-Mbaise LGA of Imo State announces the passing of their patriarch, Noble Sir Engr Ezinwa Stephen Chukwuemeka Anyanwu, KSJI.
He died on 12th February 2026 after a protracted illness. He was aged 85 years, leaving behind a story of success that will inspire us for generations.
Engr Sir Chukwuemeka Anyanwu was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and a man of unwavering Catholic faith as his life was marked by service to God, his community and the church.
Noble Sir Chukwuemeka Anyanwu, a knight of St. John’s International, wore integrity like a badge and was God’s ambassador of kindness and empathy and spent his life turning his abundance into opportunities for those without, given voice to the voiceless, hope to the hopeless and lifting the forgotten.
During his lifetime, Sir Chukwuemeka Anyanwu was a Port Harcourt based engineer and business man, a respected philanthropist and community leader that inspired the younger generation through his life of simplicity, benevolence and humility. He lived a life that was defined by excellence,empathy and service. He commanded tremendous respect and admiration throughout his lifetime as he contributed enormously in the development of Uvuru Ancient Kingdom.
His son, Arc. Chizitere Chukwuemeka said that his father’s death is a huge loss but thanked God that he lived a fulfilled life.
His second son, Engr Emmanuel Chinaza Chukwuemeka, promised that he and his siblings would continue and improve on the enduring legacies that his late father left behind.
Engr Noble Sir Chukwuemeka Anyanwu will be buried on 17th April 2026 after a funeral mass at St Raphael Catholic Church, Okwunakuwa, interment follows immediately at his country home, Umueke Umuaghara Uvuru.
There will be Thanksgiving mass on Sunday 19th April 2026.
He is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, in-laws, and host of other relatives among whom are Noble Lady Monica Anyanwu ( Wife) Dr Mrs Vianny Kelechi, Mrs Augustina Isiguzoro, Arc Chizitere Chukwuemeka, Mrs Monica Obioma, Mrs Jacinta Ilobi, Engr. Emmanuel Chinaza Chukwuemeka, Miss Nkechinyere Chukwuemeka and Engr. Stephen Chukwuemeka (Children).
