Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ila-Orangun, Osun State, have called on the party’s state leadership to consider ceding National Assembly tickets in the constituency to young aspirants ahead of the next general elections.
The youth stakeholders made the appeal during a strategy meeting for a house-to-house campaign held in Ila-Orangun, stressing that empowering youths with elective positions would strengthen the party’s grassroots appeal and ensure long-term political sustainability.
Speaking after the meeting, the youth leader of Ifedayo local government, Azeez Kazeem, who spoke on behalf of other youth leaders urged the party to consider the aspirants of Hon. Adeniyi Ismail Oluwatosin (AIO).
He, however, stressed that the youths of the constituency are ready to vote en masse to ensure the victory of the party’s gubernatorial candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, come August 15, 2026.
He said, “We are here to strategize and mobilize our people for the victory of our incoming Governor Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji. We have charged our youth to commence a house-to-house campaign to market our candidate.
“We want to use this medium to appeal to our leaders in Ila, Ifedayo, and Boluwaduro federal constituency to give us a youth representative to represent us in this federal constituency at the House of Representatives. We have had rep members before but none as related to us as AIO is presently doing.”
Also, the student coordinator of APC in Ila LG, Ibrahim Alabi, said the state needed to be governed by a serious-minded person, hence the decision of the body to mobilize massively for Oyebamiji’s victory.
He added that AIO is the voice that the students trust who will lead the party to the promised land, hence the reason why party leaders should consider his aspirants.
Meanwhile, a Federal House of Representatives hopeful, AIO, noted that the party will deliver its candidate with a landslide victory in the August 15 election.
He said, “For Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji it’s going to be a landslide victory here in Ila federal constituency with what we have seen and we do job we’ve done and we are not going to relent in them. The love for Bola Oyebamiji is so germane and we will deliver him 100%.”
