Uphold the constitution, dispense justice without fear or bias, Mutfwang tasks new Judges

Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang has charged the newly appointed Judges of the state judiciary to uphold the sanctity of Nigeria’s constitution and dispense justice without fear or bias.

Governor Mutfwang throw the challenge on Friday during the swearing-in ceremony of the newly appointed six (6) judges of the Plateau State High Court, held at Government House Little Rayfield, Jos.

The ceremony underscores the importance of the judiciary in maintaining the rule of law and democratic governance in Plateau State.

According to Governor Mutfwang, “the judges have been appointed based on their dedication, competence, and integrity, and they are expected to uphold the constitution and dispense justice without fear or bias.”

He acknowledged the appointment aims to boost the judiciary’s effectiveness and reinforce public trust.

“The judges are expected to make decisions that impact lives, preserve social order, and promote justice.”

The governor commended the National Judicial Council of Nigeria, the Plateau Chief Judge and other stakeholders in the justice sector for their roles in the appointment process as he  prays for the judges’ success, strength, and good health in their new roles.
