Lagos Assembly confirms Sanwo-Olu’s nominees, steps down Adelabu’s nomination

Lagos State House of Assembly has confirmed several nominees forwarded by the State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu for appointment into strategic agencies.

The confirmation was carried out at the plenary session on Thursday which was presided over by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa.

The nominees were invited one after the other to appear before the 40 members of the House for screening and subsequent confirmation.

During the screening exercise, the nominees were questioned on their vision and expected contributions if confirmed.

Their separate responses outlined innovative ideas and broader initiatives intended to strengthen service delivery in the State.

Those confirmed included Mr. Kehinde Durosinmi-Etti as Chairman, Lagos State Security Trust Fund while Mr. Alexander Akinwunmi was confirmed as Executive Chairman, Lagos State Electricity Regulatory Commission, Barr. Mrs. Temitope George as Chief Executive Officer of the Commission and Engr. Olopade Adekunle, Mr. Falola Olakunle as Executive members and Mr. Bello Wasiu Oladimeji as Member (Non-Executive) of the Commission.

Following the deliberations, the House confirmed all the nominees except Mrs. Adebisi Adelabu of Lagos Parking Authority was stepped down for further consideration.
