A Warri-based legal practitioner, Mr Owen Nanakumor Esq, has commended the United States Army for carrying out airstrikes on the strongholds of terrorist groups in North-West Nigeria.
Speaking with DAILY CHAMPION in Warri, Delta State, on Friday, Nanakumor described the reported presence and intervention of the US military in the region as a “welcome development” in the fight against terrorism.
He urged the US authorities to go beyond military bombardment by also arresting and exposing the sponsors of terrorism, whom he described as key actors sustaining insecurity in the country.
According to him, “Yes, they are welcome. I also demand that while the US Army is striking these terrorists, they should apprehend their sponsors in order to win the war completely.”
The lawyer further prayed for God’s continued guidance and blessings upon former US President Donald Trump and the United States Government for what he described as coming to the rescue of innocent and defenceless Nigerian citizens who have suffered at the hands of terrorists.
It will be recalled that the United States Army reportedly commenced airstrikes on terrorist targets in North-West Nigeria on Thursday, December 25, 2025.
