BREAKING: Tinubu to Trump: We will defeat terrorism in Nigeria

Following recent threats by U.S. President Donald Trump to launch attacks on terrorists in Nigeria, President Bola Tinubu has assured that his government is capable of defeating terrorism in the country.

President gave the assurance during the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting held at the Council Chamber of Aso Rock Villa in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on Thursday.

“The task ahead is immense. We are engaging the world diplomatically, and we assure all of you that we will defeat terrorism in the country,” President Tinubu said.

This would be the first time the Nigerian President would be reacting after President Trump made a declaration designating Nigeria as Country of Particular Concern (CPC) over alleged targeting of Christians by terrorists in the country.
