The Executive Chairman of Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Hon. Christopher Zakka Maikalangu, has extended heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, associates, colleagues, and the people of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on the passing of Hon. Yunusa Ahmadu Yusuf, Senior Special Assistant on Community Development. Hon. Yunusa succumbed to a brief illness on Friday.
Maikalangu described Hon. Yunusa as a diligent appointee, a promising young man, and a bridge builder who played a pivotal role in connecting the government and communities in AMAC and FCT. He highlighted Hon. Yunusa’s fearlessness, outspoken nature, and instrumental support during his 2023 electoral year.
The chairman acknowledged that the latec Yunusa was strong advocate for the emancipation of the original inhabitants of FCT, as he was Committed to public service and community development who Facilitated connections between government and communities.
In the words of the AMAC Chairman:”Life at best is very brief; this is a season we need him most, but God knows best. We will forever miss you, as you were indeed very fearless, extremely outspoken, and instrumental to me during my 2023 electoral year. This life is a circle. Rest in peace, Buhu, until we meet to part no more. Good night, my dear brother and friend.”
Maikalangu urged the family, friends, and colleagues to find comfort in Hon. Yunusa’s ideals and accept his passing as an act of God. He prayed for the repose of Hon. Yunusa’s soul and comfort for those mourning his loss.
Hon. Yunusa’s legacy is remembered through his contributions to community development and advocacy for FCT’s original inhabitants. May his impact endure, the minister said.
