.Rushed to UCH for treatment

Scores of sympathisers and onlookers gathered at the popular Cocoa House Ibadan, when a middle-aged man jumped from one of the 26th-storey skyscrapers to the ground.
The impact of the fall, which threw people around the area into panic, saw a large crowd of people struggling to catch a glimpse of the man who lay on the ground with multiple injuries.
The Head of Branding and Communication of Odua Investment Company, the company overseeing the Cocoa House, Mr Victor Ayetoro when contacted, described the man as a stranger, whose identity remained unknown.
He said it was yet to be ascertained if the man is mentally unstable or not, assuring that an investigation has commenced to unravel the circumstances behind his action.
Ayetoro, who revealed that the man has since been taken to the University College Hospital ( UCH) , noted that he is currently receiving medical attention.
The Head of Branding and Communication of Odu’a Investment Company Limited a statement, a copy made available to the Daily Champion newspaper, said “The individual involved was swiftly attended to by the emergency response team and taken to the University College Hospital, Ibadan, for urgent medical attention.
“The company expressed deep concerns over the development and assured the public of its full cooperation with authorities investigating the cause of the fall”.
Many traders described the incident as suicide, while others claimed mental derailment.
“It was just like a film when I saw the man coming from the top floor of the Cocoa House building. One cannot just imagine that someone can do that. I seriously believe something is wrong with the man”, one of the eyewitnesses, Adetoro Oke said.
Another eyewitness said, “The victim first hit a roof beside the security post of the building before landing on the ground. It was a terrifying sight.”
