Suspended Deputy Governor of Rivers State, Professor Mrs. Ngozi Nma Odu has debunked rumours making the rounds that she has resigned from her position, in the midst of the protracted political crisis in the state.
Professor Odu in a statement signed by her Special Assistant on Communication/ICT, Amirize Michael, dismissed the rumours of her resignation after two months of her suspension by President Bola Tinubu, as untrue and false.
While urging the general public to disregard any news of her resignation, Professor Odu stated that she remains the deputy governor of the state.
The statement reads, “We’ve noticed that some naysayers are spreading false information on social media regarding the resignation of Her Excellency Professor Ngozi Nma Odu DSSRS, Deputy Governor of Rivers State.
“We urge the public to disregard these baseless claims from unverified sources.
“Professor Odu remains the Deputy Governor of Rivers State and to His Excellency Sir Siminalayi Fubara, GSSRS.”
