Permit me to use your esteemed medium to ask what the problem is, concerning our electricity supply and payment of electricity bills in Amaimo, Ikeduru LGA, Imo state.
It is incredible and quite alarming, that while others are enjoying electricity supply in the neighbouring towns, Communities and environs, Amaimo town continues to make payments without seeing the light they are paying for.
This issue has become a perennial issue and nobody, even the EEDC themselves are not giving any reasonable explanation why this trend had continued unabated over two decades now.
Have anyone even imagined how light will stop at Inyishi and will not reach Amaimo. Secondly, is it not our right to know or be informed of any reason for which light may be seized, cut or not supplied as a paying customer? Should we continue to remain mute and keep swimming in darkness? Yet, bills will accumulate and people will be compelled to pay or continue to remain in darkness till infinity. What a pity! Worst still, this is the fourth month of the year and by December , whether you like it or not, a huge sum of money will be imposed on you in the name of 20% undetermined arrears. Yet, we remain silent over it and those who are wearing the shoe knows where its paining them.
Discovering a problem and its root cause means the problem is almost solved. Can someone help us to find out the root cause of why Amaimo is not enjoying electricity supply like other communities in Ikeduru. Adequate intervention and answer will go a long way to helping us out of this designated dark area. Thank you.
